This week I have been thankful for the many friends & family who have made my little Western Getaway so fabulous. I feel so blessed to have so many sweet friendships that span years. I mean, really, I stayed the 9 days with a friend I have known since I was 13. Awesome.
I have also been thankful for: a free upgrade (compact car to minivan: awesome with a capital A) big cozy couches, picnic lunches in gardens on Arbor Day, shopping sprees, a Japanese spa afternoon, international cuisine, planned & unplanned photo shoots, afternoon lunches with my girls from "the mish", gourmet breakfasts, high energy family time, low key family time, hot chocolate 3x, willing babysitters, quality cousin time, holding newborn babies(I've held 2 in these 9 days, I'm so lucky!!), re-connecting with my past self through dear friends, enjoying a stroll around the campus, the best hot dog stand ever, movie nights, zoo adventures, story sharing & side-splitting laughter, keyless entry, a California King bed, a self-guided tour around a tulip festival, rainy afternoons, snowy mornings, sunshine on my shoulder....
....you get the point. The trip was fabulous and just what I needed. A HUGE thanks to all who made it wonderful. Including my hot husband who has received daily text and phonecall updates along the way (and who is finished with the last tests, projects, and papers of his Masters degree= FINISHED! *applause*)
Next time, darling, YOU'RE coming too! :)

So glad to have you back, Shara! Missed you!!! I'm thrilled that you and Baby J. had such a great trip, and I send thanks to the Lord that Trevor is now finished! He has worked so hard -- very proud of him and of you for being so supportive!

Sounds like you had a great trip. Nothing like a regular stroll down the old haunts to make your heart feel glad.
