Ok, this is becoming a trend.
I blame my busy life (will it ever get un-busy? will Thankful Thursday ALWAYS be posted on Friday??).
Here is what we're up to lately, if you are wondering.
Let's talk about the history of Thankful Thursday.
Do you remember how it started?
I posted the very first Thankful Thursday post last Thanksgiving ('08) after deciding that I needed to be more OPENLY thankful/grateful for the blessings in my life. It was also to help me prepare to "RE-DEFINE in 2009" (which theme has been awesome thus far, but feels like it is on hold until we are done packing, cleaning, moving, unpacking, re-cleaning, settling...*sigh*)---which has been all about learning & beCOMING more of who I want to be. I am a firm believer that gratitude has alot to do with how who we are daily becoming.
This will be the 21st Thankful Thursday post. Sometimes I am nostalgic in my thanks, other times serious and sober...many times silly & random...all in all, though, I have felt the power of gratitude change the way I experience my week. Especially as I get close to Thursdays.
Today I am thankful for sweet endings.
You know, The END of a movie & you are relieved that certain parts of it are over??
The END of buying OSHA textbooks
The END of agonizing over remembering a new class schedule
The END of having a stressed-out spouse (HA, right?)
The END of living in a loud, highly-student-populated neighborhood
The END of VERY limited insurance benefits
The END of watching the outgoing $ be more than the incoming $
The END of library "date nights" (he is at the library, I'm at home with the babe)
The END of morning phone calls from professors on Saturdays ("Hi. Trevor. This is Dr. So-and-so, are you awake yet?")
The END of working the balance between student life, student wife, and all the rest
The truth is... in The END...there are many more things we will be missing, many more experiences we will treasure, many more people we will long to see...and because of the stress of packing, Trevor said the other night:
"Let's just live in this duplex FOREVER!"
HA.
Yeah right, buddy.
In the END, we are sad to be leaving but oh-so-Thankful for a job and the *next chapter* of our lives!

Next chapters are often a good thing. I hope you have a blast in Min...er... Wisconsin!
After we finished school, it seemed like our schedules were wide open and available-- for about 2 months. Then we were committed again. Hope you enjoy this transitional summer. :)
Moving shmooving. I'm so sick of the stuff. I pack, and pack, and pack, and still I have endless loads of junk. I can't wait until this whole thing is done with!! I'm glad you're grateful for a job. At least someone is. I could really use one of those right now. ;)
I can attest to no more buying of OSHA textbooks and remembering new class schedules. Also to those sat. professor phone calls. So good luck to the two or rather 3 of you on this move. Trevor really deserves it he has worked hard. Tell him congrats for me.
