Thankful Thursday: July 9th

Today's Thankful Thursday is brought to you by...

Lemons.
Yes, that's right. Lemons. Yellow, juicy, plump, sour-ly delicious lemons. I have been making lemon water to drink during the day and boy am I loving it! I read online (after I started making my pitchers of lemon water) about the benefits of drinking lemon water...you should check it out!

And onto it.

Today, I'm going to review some of my thankful thoughts from the last week when we had 5 of Mr. H's family in town to visit.

I'm thankful that:
  • the crew arrived safely from Kentucky
  • I had enough time to clean up the *blow out* that happened right before they arrived (first one in many months!)
  • 2 of the crew were willing to stay at a hotel during the visit as to minimize the craziness in our small apartment
  • Mr. H was happy to make dinner for our guests (our favorite bbq & pineapple chicken quesadillas)
  • J was DELIGHTED by his 2 year old cousin's presence & enjoyed every one's attention
  • we were able to devour some Hmong egg rolls (They ran out of them after only a couple of hours at the market!)
  • all travel was done without accidents
  • the Mall of America is wayyy more than just a mall
  • sweet Nana was willing to stroll J around so Mr. H & I could ride the rides like giddy children
  • we were able to watch several cities' fireworks display as we drove home from Minnesota
  • this town offers such fun free activities like the 4th of July kiddie parade!
  • we were able to enjoy Sunday morning church together
  • Granny Rose was able to find a nice neighbor to let her borrow a can opener (since all of ours are rusted & impossible!) while she was making the best home-cooked meal EVER
  • I didn't gain *too much* weight during the overindulgent week
  • Mr. H's sister's toe was able to be popped back into place & our ER visit was more of a silly-bonding time than a dramatic-scary time
  • we were able to introduce the crew to CHEESE CURDS
  • there was enough hot water for every one's showers
  • our noise didn't disturb the neighbors (so they say...)
  • the week gave us all an opportunity to see more of Wisconsin and create sweet memories!
AND, even though it was fabulously fun...

I am also thankful for the quiet house that is now ours again...:)

Until next week...

Thankfully yours,

Sharalea

P.S. Don't forget: When life gives you lemns, make lemonade!
