Thankful Thursday: June 16, 2011

Oh my...

the fantastic breezes that have been waltzing through my windows...

I just can't get enough!!

I'm loving this little break from summer that we've been enjoying,
I'm sure it won't last much longer.

I'm just full of gratitude today!

I look outside...and wow!

I'm grateful for soft green grass,
leaves full of crisp green leaves,
& gorgeous morning sunshine.

I look inside...and wow!

I'm grateful for a beautiful home to spend so much of our time,
for a very mobile (and mostly happy) 10 month old,
and for a very energetic (and sometimes emotional) 3 year old (!!)

I look on my desk...and wow!

I'm grateful for a full calendar of social gatherings,
for a bowl full of juicily delicious fresh fruit,
and for my online connection to the rest of the world.

I look at our family...and wow!

I'm grateful for all of the blessings we have been given,
for the challenges we have climbed through together,
and for the upcoming changes that will offer a little bit of both.

I am thankful to be able to look around and
joy in the good things around me...both small & life-changing.
There is beauty all around.

Your turn!

Look around...what thankful thoughts come to your mind?

I am thankful for:
- today being the last day of the school year!
- an extra 30 minutes of sleep during the work weeks of summer vacation.
- my super smart kids who had a fantastic school year!
- My 3 year old who is thrilled to have his big brother and big sister all day with him for the next 3 months.
- My planned long "welcome to summer vacation" weekend.
- All the dads in my life that we get to celebrate this weekend (not that we don't always celebrate them - but extra celebrate them!)
- Evening walks with my Mom. It provides me with some "girl catch up time" and I am finally getting out and exercising...much better than a treadmill!
- The local farmers market. We have started to get some awesome produce in the past few weeks and I am lovin' it!
