Thankful Thursday: May 28th

Welcome to Thursday, everybody!

Let's talk about some GOOD THINGS to be thankful for today...

Good thing #1: internet connection in our new apt (wireless connection still pending, please send intelligent vibes our way for when the "tech" comes sometime between 1-3 today)

Good thing #2: our cell phones (it really is amazing that we can talk to whomever we want, whenever we want...whether we are driving through the longest state EVER (I'm talking to you, Illinois) ...or sitting in our empty apartment updating our families...verizon, I love ya!)

Good thing #3: our 2 *older* cars...even without cruise control, they did GREAT on the 11 hr drive!

Good thing #4: our little guy...who was an EXCELLENT travel partner, playing with toys in the backseat and singing along to Enrique with me

Good thing #5: my hot husband, who spent a significant part of the day yesterday deep cleaning the new place (although it was pretty darn clean when we arrived!), and putting together new purchases (vacuum cleaner, stroller, etc)

Good thing #6: using ABF to move all our stuff (upack.com) so we didn't have to drive it, which ALSO gives us a few days to avoid the stress of unloading, unpacking, re-organizing, etc. (thanks to all of you who told us about your good experiences with them!)

Good thing #7: belonging to this Church, so no matter where in the world we go, we will always have a 'family'

Good thing #8: the landscape here in "central Wisconsin" is gorgeous...hilly, lush green, lakes, rivers...very similar to our Tennessee/Kentucky homes

Good thing #9: Baby J has been sleeping through the night, even with the craziness of the moving and lack of crib

Good thing #10: Knowing that all of these good things are just the beginning of our newest adventure...and that all of them are blessings from Above.

I love those 10 things...and seeing all the blessings in your life. Your flexibility factor has really increased in your adult life, as has your gratitude! I love how upbeat and positive you are! You look for the good, and it just keeps pouring into your life! xo mom

That's a good point, mom. So maybe Shara's "She don't do change" catchphrase needs to rather be "She survives change" or "She adapts to change."

Maybe not quite to the "She likes change," but I'll leave that up to you.

I actually think that she has reached the point where "Shara embraces change!" It's lovely, really! ( and she PREPARES FOR IT!)

"She don't do change." is stricken from the record from this point forward.

You two are making me cry!
I was just thinking about that "she don't do change" thing YESTERDAY.

I was thinking "she works with change" before Mom added the "embraces"--either one might work, eh?

(Note the "eh"--I'm already starting to say it at the end of my sentences...talk about EASY TO CHANGE! hahaha)

Thanks for taking the old 'she don't do change' out of circulation. It's fascinating to note these CHANGES in my own journey! ;)

Thank you for your love and support!!
