My theme for the year was "re-define in 2009", remember?
I always get sentimental & somber
as one year is carefully folded up
and the next year is presented in all of its glory
All fresh and sparkly, new to the world
Endless possibilities
Goals are made, dreams to come true
The old year has stains, wrinkles, and
delicately embroidered memories
Specific to the days and months that we wore it out
We remember the moments that changed us
A silent prayer of thanks
And the fabric of 2009 is the newest addition
to the Wardrobe of Life.
