The lawnmowers are out in full force,
it is Thursday after all.
They buzz around on their fast-trimming thrones,
I wonder if they love their job as much as my Mr. thinks he would?
I've got a few minutes
in between oatmeal and dishes--
I better share my thanks now
before the day runs away with the spoon!
I am thankful for:
-my sweet almost-3-year old who reminds me how to laugh when I am being too serious
-my baby whose big blue eyes tease me with every smile
-my Mr. who drives all over the place, stays up late hours, and saves the world--one safety challenge at a time!
-modern conveniences (today I love: the toaster, the recliner, & our 35 mpg car)
-all the many ways to keep in touch (although I regularly debate about closing my facebook account)
-clean laundry
-fluffy pillows
-friends who ask & mean it
-opportunities to give back
-homemade chocolate chip cookie aroma in my house
-summer plans
-the Eternal Plan...which is what I've been thinking about in depth this week-- my heart is full for friends & family who are hurting, missing, unfair losses
I'm thankful for the blessings I recognize
and all of the tiny (& big) ones I take for granted.
I am thankful today.

I often debate about closing my FB account, too. Why can't I? Wanna make a pact? I will if you do! Altho, getting ready for a move, it'll definitely be harder to keep in contact with friends, but maybe that's what I NEED.
