Thankful Thursday: April 9th

Today I my Thankful Thursday carries a spiritual tone as this week is such a Holy one...

I am thinking of the life of Jesus Christ. I am reviewing the miracles He performed. I am reflecting on the purest, most perfect love that He taught us all. I have been studying the Gospels to remember again the details of This Week, two thousand years ago.

What a blessed time of the year this is. The birds are singing as they pull open the curtains of the morning sun. The flowers are in bloom, the grass is green (and in our yard--very tall), and the very essence of spring--new life-- can be experienced by a simple walk through a park.

Springtime offers the earth a rejuvenating breath of freshness. We open our windows to let the breezes blow through our homes and bring the flowers inside to beautify our tables. The sun seems brighter and the days are getting longer--and all of it seems to testify of Him who gave each of us our very own 'fresh start'.

I am grateful for Christ's perfect life, His tremendous sacrifice for every single one, and His triumphant resurrection--the ultimate 'rejuvination'--which we will celebrate on Easter Sunday.

May you feel of His love as you enjoy the sunshine of spring and the praises this special week.

"To all who may have doubts,
I repeat the words given Thomas
as he felt the wounded hands of the Lord:
'Be not faithless, but believing.'
Believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the greatest figure of time and eternity. Believe that his matchless life reached back before the world was formed. Believe that he was the Creator of the earth on which we live. Believe that he was Jehovah of the Old Testament, that he was the Messiah of the New Testament, that he died and was resurrected, that he visited the western continents and taught the people here, that he ushered in this final gospel dispensation, and that he lives, the living Son of the living God, our Savior and our Redeemer."
