Thankful Thursday: June 24, 2010

I'm posting this a day early.
*GASP*

I have two reasons, and you betchyourbottomdollar
I'm gonna tell you what they are:

1) I am at a hotel with free wi-fi & I don't know how long it will be until we have the internet hooked up at our new place

2) I really need to focus on some Thankful thoughts to counter the craziness of MOVE WEEK 2010

So, with that said...let's think THANKS:

I am thankful for very amazing awesome friends that have stolen our hearts--we will never forget you, Wausau!

I am thankful for Mr. H's company footing the bill to pack, load, transport, and unload all of our STUFF

I am thankful for Mr. H's willingness to stay at the apartment ALL DAY yesterday (loading day) and do every single detail of the cleaning and apartment check-out (while J and I went to swimming lessons and played with our closest friends)

I am thankful for two loyal cars that transported us safely & efficiently to our destination yesterday (and I'm especially thankful that mine has A/C...Mr. H took a thermometer with him and had temps up to 90 inside that little thing!)

I am thankful for *limited melt downs* as we have thrown all of these changes around (I'm talking about J, not me...but I guess I should be thankful for both--ha)

I am thankful for a spacious hotel room to spread out and sleep last night, my swollen ankles needed a nice big bed (our air mattress just wasn't going to cut it)

I am thankful for Mr. H--who is at this very moment at our new place, guiding the unloaders while I sit in a comfy hotel bed, lazily grateful...listening to the rain & thunder outside

I am thankful for the new opportunities ahead of us and the blessings and challenges that have brought us here...

Ok, that feels better.
I have nothing to complain about, do I?
REALLY.
Really.

So blessed.

And you are too!

Any thanks you need to share to counter the craziness of your week?

Oy! How exciting! I am very happy for you to not have "days in limbo" also, as that makes the move seem to strrrreeetttch out and become a little more painful. You know, your things sitting in a warehouse somewhere instead of being unpacked the next day...

It is so exciting to start a new chapter! I feel refreshed for your sake. Have fun with your brand new life!

I am also thankful for a husband who is a crazy packer himself! Our official move begins July 1 - and granted, we are not changing states (or townships, for that matter) but I am not looking forward the actual move. Being there will be fine. So, thankful he is making it all a bit smoother.

Good luck to you....can't wait to hear more and see pics!!!

I am really thankful that you made it safely in 2 cars and a moving van to Chicagoland...that you didn't get in any of the wild weather on the way...and that you have such an awesome husband who spoils you. Seriously.

I am thankful for the fact that when our A/C seemed to be not working, it started up when we turned off/on the breaker. Next time we will do that first!

Hi, Shara! I am very thankful for how God is providing for my family during these tough $ times. Through God's miracles and the amazing husband and son he blessed me with, at night, we feast on fish the guys have caught and the vegetables they've picked from the garden that morning: green beans, yellow squash, tomatoes, green peppers, etc. We look at our table filled with all this food and just praise the Lord for taking care of us. God is good.

Love you guys! Praying for you and wishing I could be there to help!
