Thankful Thursday: July 22, 2010

I had to take a triple look at the calendar when I was verifying today's date.
July 22nd?
Really??

You know what that means?

We've been in our new home for an entire month now.
And I still have a "finish organizing" To Do list!!
It is shrinking, though...so that's good.

Well, happy we've-been-here-for-a-month day to you!

So much to be thankful for, and so little time (heading out shortly for my 37 week appointment)...but --it must be done!--

I am Thankful for the last days of down time that I have with my Toddler J--yesterday he helped me put together a cubed shelving unit for his closet (to house some of those baby things I've been washing and folding!) and it was so tender to watch his joy in being a helper--even if it meant the project took twice as long.

I am Thankful for the 2 amazing girls from Church who barely know me or my family but who are eager and willing to help out with our First Boy while we are in the hospital (an hour away) having our Second Boy.

I am Thankful that Baby N (Second Boy) is still happily snuggled between my ribs, and hopeful that he'll stay that way (as uncomfortable as it is!) for at least another week or two! I.Am.Not.Ready.

I am Thankful for the latest news in the VBAC world that is sure to bring about some good changes in the future!

I am Thankful for the tender mercies of the Lord. Reassurance, calm, peace, and confidence--don't we all need more of this on a daily basis?

I am Thankful for a supportive, strong, hard-working, dedicated, and loving Mr. He is busier than ever with work right now but he takes the time to make sure I know that I am loved. I am loved! What a feeling!

Ok, on to you!
Thanks, much?

I am thankful that tomorrow is my last day of maternity leave and I get paid for it because it's a holiday. But I'm even more thankful that I don't have to return to work and I get to stay home fulltime with my baby!

Thankful for a cute cousin-in-law!

PS Don't even feel bad about not unpacking everything yet! It took me MONTHS. Sad, but true. :)
